WILLMAR and HUTCHINSON, MN – Ridgewater has been awarded a $20,000 grant from the Gene Haas Foundation (GHF) as a grant to support scholarships. Scholarships will be awarded to students that are currently enrolled or will be enrolling in a CNC training program with an emphasis on CNC technology and designed for manufacturability.

Scholarship awards are up to $2,500 per student. The purpose of the funds is to encourage students to learn, operate, and understand CNC technology.

β€œWatching our students walk into the shop on day one and graduate two years later as skilled machinists is incredibly rewarding,” shared Machine Tool Technology Instructor Greg Ryder. β€œFor the past decade, the Gene Haas Foundation has generously funded our program so we can split this financial boost among our hardworking students. This award gives our two-year students the extra momentum they need to focus on mastering their craft, finishing their degrees, and stepping into a great manufacturing career.”
